Congratulations to Dr. Michael Clement

Winner of Ernst & Young LLP New Inclusive Excellence Award for Accounting and Business School

Ernst & Young LLP created the Inclusive Excellence Award to recognize the extraordinary efforts of faculty members who are helping to create more diverse learning environments that will ultimately help their students succeed
in today’s global workforce.

Five faculty members from top business schools were selected for their extraordinary efforts to advance inclusiveness on their campuses.  Award recipients were selected from more than 260 nominations based on their contribution to inclusiveness on their campus through innovative teaching, research, or program development.  The winners were also selected based on their mentorship and support of diverse students and faculty as well as their involvement with under-represented minority students on an individual basis or through diversity-related organizations.

Each winner has been awarded $7500 to use towards efforts to impact and improve inclusiveness and diversity at their school.  The award recipients were announced by EY Chairman and CEO, Jim Turley, and Director of
Inclusiveness Recruiting, Ken Bouyer, at an Ernst & Young LLP faculty reception during the American Accounting Association’s annual meeting in New York City.

Michael Clement received his BBA (magna cum laude) from Baruch College in 1980, his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1988, and his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1997. His research interests include security analysis, financial accounting, financial markets and statement analysis. Professor Clement is the recipient of numerous awards, including the CBA Foundation Research Excellence Award for Assistant Professors for 2003-2004.

Admission: $5 students, $10 faculty and staff                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            University Health Services provides seasonal flu shots to students, faculty and staff. Shots are given on a walk-in basis and no appointment is necessary. Recipients can only pay for the vaccine by cash or check, and at the time the shot is received. A current UT ID must be presented to receive the vaccine.
